Folk in Morimont is coming → important information

Hello everyone!
The festival is approaching fast! The whole Labo M organisation team is preparing an edition with COLOUR as its theme ;)

Program and workshops Man Technologist

Some workshops still have places available! Don't delay in taking your places as the number is limited and once sold out there will be no more ticketing on site.

Accordion workshop with Amélie Dénarié from Les Zéoles

→ Starting with a simple melody (theme and grid) we will approach rhythmic work (chords and rhythmic right hand, left hand variations), right hand phrasing and of course listening through collective play so that everyone can find their interpretation and create their own melody!
A musical sheet to be deciphered beforehand can be sent to the participants to prepare the workshop. The workshop is open to non-beginner chromatics.

Dance workshop - Laure Fourest - music of KazKanZie

→ During this workshop "Couple Dances and Musicality", I propose to take the time to settle down and dive into our dancing relationship with music, with the complicity of  Aymerick Tron Alvarez  and  Jérémie Bonamant  (Kazkanzie!). This is an opportunity to ask ourselves what we, as dancers, give to the musicians who offer us their music, and to explore a few tools that will allow us to better connect with the suggestions they make. Take some real time to explore the relationship of our body to the music, how to make it available and sharpen it to really find harmony and dialogue with the music that sets it in motion...

 Ensemble music workshop with Ribambal

→ Lucile and Fabrice will take you into the music, whatever your instrument, thanks to harmonisations, listening training and, above all, a lot of joy!

Ribambal: Lucile Kopff and Fabrice Kieffer form a hell of a duo! The transverse flute, the accordion and the hurdy-gurdy have made a pact at the crossroads between the Balkans, the French musette and Swedish folk dances. Beware, it is said that the beauty of their melodies can drive those who listen to them mad with love! Even the most courageous are taken in...

Please note: for technical reasons, the slots for the balls of the bands Arizonà and Ribambal have been switched from the initial programme. Ribambal will now play on Friday (from 10:30 pm to 12:15 am), and Arizonà on Sunday (from 5 pm to 7 pm).

Feel free to (re)consult the  full festival program here .

Ticket management and exchange: it's online!

In line with the reflections carried out throughout the year in the association concerning digital awareness, we have developed a new system to avoid having to disclose personal data publicly on the web.

An application developed by and for the association now allows you to:
  • 🎟 Find your tickets for the festival
  • Money Bag See the tickets that are offered for resale and contact the sellers,
  • Plus Add your tickets to the exchange.

If you already know who you want to sell your ticket to it is possible! You can transfer your tickets directly to someone you know (without going through the exchange). All this is available at this address:  https://festival.lelabom.fr/

Note: no password to remember (phew!), just enter your email address and a code will be sent to you to connect. Clever!

Plant dyeing and other workshops

Several activities will be offered during the festival, including an ecoprint workshop (printing technique on fabric using plants) by the artist collective Bouillons (check out their great website  here !) on Sunday all day, with free access SeedlingHibiscus The opportunity to create various patterns and incredible colours on fabric to make scarves, t-shirts, cushions, totebags... A great way to pay tribute to the petals, leaves, bark of the place.

Food! Food!

To keep the endless dancers energised, there will be several catering options (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) throughout the weekend: wraps flambé, burgers, buns, sweet and savoury cakes (including vegan and gluten-free).

Note: Please note that payment by card is not possible on site!

Camping

Camping is always recommended and free for all participants. Hot showers and toilets will be provided. Please note that this year there will be no covered dormitories, so bring your own tent!

Sustainable mobility

Every year we look for solutions to facilitate sustainable mobility so that participants who sometimes come from far away can come in good conditions. This year we invite you to carpool with mobicoop and to prefer green mobility to visit us Slightly Smiling Face. Some cars are already registered, follow the movement!

We look forward to seeing you all again, and if you feel like it, come to the festival dressed in your best colourful outfits to match the theme!
